Upon entering middle school Cobby fell in love with the flute, dropping the violin in later years to pursue her passion with the flute. At 13, Cobby received her sister’s old guitar, in which she taught herself to play and began to write songs. At 17, Cobby won first place in the Naples Youth Philharmonic Concerto Competition and was chosen to play Cecile Chaminade’s Concertino with The Naples Philharmonic Orchestra.

Cobby graduated from high school In 2012 and was accepted into The Berklee College of Music in Boston, but deferred to study at The Interlochen Arts Academy for the high school post-graduate program. There she studied flute, voice, and jazz, pushing herself to learn as much as she could. In 2013, Cobby was admitted into The Berklee College of Music on scholarship where she immersed herself in songwriting, production, vocal jazz ensembles as well as many different genres, and was very active musically. Cobby refined herself as a jazz vocalist, flutist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, studying with teachers such as Matt Marvuglio, Jeff Harrington, Karen Carr, David Thorne Scott, Kenny Werner, Stan Strickland, Pat Pattison, and others. Cobby released her first EP, titled Bring On The Swing, in 2017 and hosted her EP Release Concert in Daniels Pavilion at The Naples Artis.
