Founded by New Orleans transplants Ron Bocian & David Bandrowski, alongside jazz radio DJ Drew Miller, Euphoria Brass Band (EBB) is San Diego’s original brass band!
EBB has been nominated for SEVEN times, and is the proud recipient of the 2019 San Diego Music Award in the Best Jazz Category at House of Blues, San Diego.
A Southern California favorite, blending old-school New Orleans brass band jazz, funky street beats, and modern edge with a West Coast flair, EBB has become known for its HIGH ENERGY shows! Anyone is guaranteed to start smiling, dancing and having a good time. EBB always leaves ‘em wanting more!

Founded in 2011 by New Orleans transplants Ron Bocian (drums) and David Bandrowski (banjo/guitar), along with San Diego jazz radio DJ Drew Miller, Euphoria Brass Band was built on a deep love for authentic brass band heritage. Their handpicked lineup of top-tier musicians—Steve Ebner on trumpet, April West on trombone, David Jackson on tenor sax, JP Balmat on baritone & alto sax and clarinet, and Wayne Rice on sousaphone—delivers a powerhouse sound that bridges tradition with modern-day energy.
Over the years, EBB has had the honor of performing alongside some of the biggest names in jazz, funk, and brass band music, including the legendary Dr. John, Trombone Shorty, Rebirth Brass Band, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Funky Meters, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Soul Rebels Brass Band, and many more. Their ability to share stages with such icons speaks to their authenticity, musicianship, and infectious energy that captivates audiences from all walks of life.
