Stacey Barnett graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance. In addition to singing, she has explored interests in Javanese gamelan, West African percussion, and Latin percussion. Stacey performs with groups that focus primarily on music from Iran, the Balkans, and Eastern Europe. While studying and performing music from various cultures, she has witnessed the power of music to bring strangers together regardless of heritage, language, age, or any other perceived boundaries. Her performance experience has included visiting hospitals and senior living facilities to share the cathartic value of music through the Music as Medicine club at San Diego State University.
