Ashley performs with dozens of musicians across San Diego County, and her voice is featured on a variety of artists’ work ranging from Bassnectar to Dave Rice (as heard on Netflix season 1 Tales of the City). Her first love is piano, and one of her original compositions, “Possible,” can be heard in stores across the US from TJ Maxx to Hershey’s and Abercrombie Kids. Ashley currently teaches music at Saint James Academy in Del Mar.
Ashley Mazanec is a program director and educator at the intersection of arts and ecology. She co-directed the EcoArts school-wide program at Del Sur Elementary School and currently teaches at Solidarity Farm School and Saint James Academy.
Ashley has earned various awards from 2015 to 2017, including: Global Policy and Strategy Fellowship, US-Israel Center for Innovation and Economic Sustainability Lead Fellowship, and Surfing Madonna Oceans Project Scholarship to the Artists and Climate Change Inaugural Incubator. She holds her Masters in International Environmental Policy from the UCSD School of Global Policy and Strategy, where she served as Net Impact UCSD Graduate Chapter President. She is a Sustainability Advisor for the City of Del Mar and on the board of various nonprofits dedicated to sustainability.
