Justin Joyce is a freelance musician in the San Diego area who possesses and displays an immense knowledge of the drum set, vibraphone, and other percussion instruments. Currently a student at San Diego State University, Justin is on the path to receiving a Master's Degree in Music with an emphasis on Jazz Studies where he also holds the position of Graduate Assistant for the Jazz Studies Department.

Ever since his introduction to the San Diego music scene, Justin has played with numerous groups such as several of San Diego State University’s top Jazz Ensembles and Combos, Citrus, Tiffany Jane and The Kicks, Danielle Stathas, the Teagan Taylor Band, and many other notable groups. Justin has also been active in both the Los Angeles and New York music scenes as well and has toured the United States with his former band, Tiffany Jane and The Kicks in the summer of 2013 and has been a part of numerous albums with multiple groups with the most recent being "The Subject Of…" with the Teagan Taylor Band.

In the span of his music career, Justin has privately studied with notable instructors such as Mike Holguin, Bill Yeager, Rick Helzer, Richard Thompson, Karl Soukup, Anthony Smith, Dr. David Whitman, Duncan Moore, Larry Grano, and many other world-class instructors.
